Anthony T Rohr, tenor
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Anthony is an opera singer, software engineer, gamer, and home cook. After discovering a passion for music through classical piano, he went on to obtain a Bachelors of Arts, Music from Luther College, studying with Karen Kanakis and Jessica Paul. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 2011, he has continued his vocal studies with Audrey Stottler and Dennis Petersen.
Anthony delights audiences with his robust, signature timbre and captivating, emotional performances. His “sweet tenor voice” possesses a rare combination of power and depth as well as flexibility and expression.
Recently, he has been seen as Gherardo in Gianni Schicchi with Opera Reading Project and Ralph Wrackstraw in HMS Pinafore with The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. In addition to his stage roles, Anthony is a contracted singer with Minnesota Chorale, under the direction of Kathy Romey, performing with Minnesota Orchestra. He can also be found singing in various cabarets around Minneapolis/St. Paul.
